We are living in the Zaatari refugee camp and we are practicing Self-Defense as part of the Peace and Sport program. Despite the coronavirus pandemic, we are still practicing self-defense thanks to the support of our coach Nesrin.
I live in the Zaatari refugee camp and I am playing sport everyday as part of the Peace and Sport program.
I love playing Teqball, as I need to be focused on my technics. It is also a great way to gather all my friends and to challenge ourselves around the table!
Table-Tennis is a popular sport in Zaatari Refugee Camp since the President of the International Table Tennis Federation, the President of Peace and Sport, and the Champion of Peace, Seung-Min Ryu visited us 3 years-ago.
Since then, more than 150 kids are practicing every day and many tournaments are organized such as the Wifa Championship, the Quest Scope Championship, and of course the Peace and Sport Championship.
I joined Peace and Sport’s kickboxing activities led by Captain Ali 3 years-ago and thanks to those training sessions I am more self-confident as I learnt to know myself and my body. I became more mature and gained new experiences through sport, which helped me in my daily life.
