Umoya Sports works towards providing holistic development to students with disabilities and building an inclusive sports culture. On the day of the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, we are highlighting the importance of building equal sports opportunities for all by also building community engagement with parents. We are hosting an inclusive sports festival by bringing in parents, school leaders and teachers to spread awareness and breaking the social stigma towards disabilities. Parents and other people without disabilities will be paired along with students with disabilities to participate in sports drills, support each other and also highlight the abilities of students rather than inabilities. We will promote the UN SDG goals 4 and UN SDG 10 through the event to reduce the inequalities. The aim is to build dignity for our athletes and showcase the progress made by the students.
