KURASH; Haití y República Dominicana en amplia colaboración deportiva.

KURASH is a sport originated in the Republic of Uzbekistan and extremely popular in Central Asia with more than 3500 years of existence so it is considered the Mother of All Martial Arts.

KURASH is directed by the Kuwaiti citizen who answers to the name of Haider Farman in the world institution called International KURASH Association (IKA)

Since the creation of the IKA on September 6, 1998, KURASH has expanded to the five continents and more than 120 countries to disseminate the values of discipline, companionship, honesty and tenacity as essential values of this sport. At present, more than 50 National Olympic Committees are affiliated to their respective National Federations.

KURASH in America is organized under the Pan-American Kurash Union (UPK) presided by the Dominican Jaime Casanova Martinez and it is established in the United States, Costa Rica, Colombia, Bolivia, Haiti, Venezuela, Argentina, Chile, and the Dominican Republic, among others,

KURASH in the Dominican Republic is organized by the Dominican Federation of Kurash (Fedokurash) directed by Professor Israel Caraballo Jiménez.

KURASH in its plan of expansion of this sport in America set as an objective to take this martial art to the Republic of Haiti coordinating with people interested in the Uzbek discipline an introduction program.

KURASH with the acceptance of Mr. Michel VAUGENS and Mr. Ulrick CHARLES-LOUIS and with the express competition of the Dominican Federation of Kurash (Fedokurash) incursion in Haiti to formalize the practice of the discipline.

KURASH of the Panamerican Kurash Union accepted the incorporation of the Haitian Kurash Federation giving it the recognition on April 6, 2019.

KURASH from the Dominican Republic traveled to Port-au-Prince on May 23rd to 27th, 2019 where the Dominican technicians Franklin Perez, Manuel Guerrero and Elvis Mateo gave a National Kurash Course and Training Camp who was accompanied by Israel Caraballo and Jaime Casanova Martinez.

KURASH of the Dominican Republic returned to Port-au-Prince with technicians Franklin Perez and Manuel Guerrero on August 10 and 11, 2019 to give the corresponding technical support to the realization in that country, Haiti, of the National Championships in both the male and female branches with the participation of athletes in the male and female branches.

KURASH of the Dominican Republic received the delegation of the Republic of Haiti on November 30 and December 1, 2019 to the Pan American Championships held in San Cristobal, Dominican Republic which were organized by the Dominican Federation of KURASH with the endorsement of the Pan American Kurash Union where the Haitian delegation obtained important Pan American awards while fully integrated into the continental activities at the highest level.

The KURASH Dominican Republic will receive the Haitian delegation of ten (10) people in the city of San Cristobal for a Training Camp, Refereeing and competitions from 1 to 7 April 2020 within the activities of Peace & Sport.

KURASH from Haiti and the Dominican Republic demonstrated the brotherhood of neighboring peoples in conjunction with efforts for the installation in that Central American country of a martial discipline with high moral, ethical and social values. These are activities of social inclusion through sport that promote peace and harmony between two countries divided by a land border of 376 kilometers.

KURASH of the Pan-American Kurash Union was highly satisfied to achieve the practice of Kurash in a new country, Haiti, with the help of the Dominican Republic following the guidelines of the International Kurash Association (IKA)
