The International Judo Federation is celebrating April 6 on the occasion of the Antalya Grand Prix 2019. On that special day, 20 refugee children from Kilis (South Turkey) where the IJF and the Turkish Judo Federation have been leading a Judo for Peace programme for several years, were invited to follow the event and to participate in the opening ceremony. They also did a judo demonstration in front of the delegations of the world. After the Grand Prix, IJF Judo for Peace director, Nicolas Messner, and Olympic Champion Pino Maddaloni (ITA) visited the Kilis refugee camp and had a two day training camp with all the young refugee judoka.
