The "Judo for friends open day" which took place at Dzaleka refugee camp was a great success. It was indeed organized to commemorate International Day of Sport for Development and Peace. We had participants from different nationalities; Ethiopia, Eriteria, Burundi, Rwanda, DRC, Japan, UK, South Korea and Malawi. Some of the guests were the British high commissioner, chiefs from Dzaleka, the Japanese families living in Malawi, School leaders, Church leaders and members from other sports federations. The athletes did a Judo demonstration for 45 minutes. It was nice to see the Judokas from Dzaleka refugee camp showing people what they have learnt so far from the Judo for Peace Program. This indeed indicated to us that Judo can unity people from different countries. In Judo we have one country which is a TATAMI.
