A media launch will be
held in Sydney
at the Hickson Road Reserve beneath the Sydney Harbour Bridge from 10am to 11am on Friday 4 April 2014. The aim
of the media event is to provide a platform for Sport Matters partners in Australia to
come together in celebration of the event and have an opportunity to raise the
profile of their work. Sport Matters will release a series of advocacy tools
including a poster campaign and series of promo videos. Our Australian partners
will also be invited to prepare a 30 second promo video showcasing ‘Why Sport
Matters’ to be released at the launch event.
Sport Matters will be linking up with a number of partners around the world to support and celebrate IDSDP on Facebook and Twitter. Our social media campaign ‘Why Sport Matters’ will run from 10.30am on Friday 4 April to 5pm on Sunday 6 April. To support the event people can post a message and/or photo on Facebook showcasing why sport matters for themselves, their organisation or their country. Use the hastags #idsdp #sportmatters #whysportmatters to get involved.
