“Due to its vast reach and unparalleled popularity, sport is ideally positioned to contribute towards the United Nations’ objectives for development and peace. To raise awareness of this potential, the UN General Assembly declared the 6 April as the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace. The adoption of this day signifies the increasing recognition of the positive influence that sport can have on the advancement of human rights, and social and economic development.”

To that extend the 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic & Sports Museum is supporting this Day by participating in a worldwide activity. Young pupils from various schools were gathered at 3-2-1 QOSM offices to paint together “The Wall of Togetherness”.
The young "artists" from various Schools from Doha inspired everyone who was attending the event. Their piece of art is participating in the “United Nations Office on Sport for Development & Peace” international campaign to raise awareness for the first ever Day of Sport for Development & Peace.
