Mchezo Inavunja Mipaka
"Mchezo Inavunja Mipaka" means "Sports Breaking Down Borders" in Swahili, a language commonly unsed on both sides of the border separating Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Promo Jeune Basket (DRC) and Sport Pour Tous (DRC) are teaming up with Gisenyi Basketball Club (Rwanda) to host an event focused on development and peace between our two communities of Goma, DRC and Gisenyi, Rwanda.
The event will begin with two basketball matches with U16 and U18 teams in Gisenyi, Rwanda. After the matches finish, all the participants of the game will join together to march to the beach of Lake Kivu, where we will participate in team building and peace building activities together. It is at the end of the team activities that we will deliver our message of peace and development to the community and also present our White Cards.
Please visit: to learn more about our organization and find pictures and updates of the event on April 7.
