Annual Adaptive sports meet for special needs kids from across Saint Lucia. Children enjoy this event very much because they enjoy having the medals hanging around their necks. Success is something that is highly motivational to them but this is an important part of the physical development of students. The event is integral to the development of children with special needs and is a culmination of the physical education sessions that are done by Sacred Sports Foundation at the special schools on a weekly basis.
215 children from six schools will participate in the event. There is the Dunnottar School, the Lady Gordon Opportunity Centre, the Special Education Centre in Vieux-Fort, the Soufriere Special Education and Rehabilitation Centre, the Dennery Child Development Centre and one private school is participating, the Saint Lucia School of Autism.
Activities: Assisted Walk, Guided Walk, Dash, Relay ( Juniors, Intermediate, Seniors), Medley, Tyre Race, Sack Race, Lime & Spoon, Fill the Bottle, Wheelchair Twine Rolling, Hula Hoop, Tug of War and Surprise Soccer Peace & Sport Match.
