The iniative is called "RUN FOR PEACE" and is co-organizated by  the  Olympic winners Association that i'm the president and the municipality of Agios Dimitrios in Athens. I am also the ambassador of the race. I visit more than 25 elementary schools disseminating the importance sports have for peace and raising our white card. The objective of the program is

to engage more young people  in sports and help them understand that sports is not  only a physical activity but  also through sports they can  improve their social skills, strengthen cultural values and adapt to rules and also learn to respect diversity , help each other and live peacefully.

2 months before the 12th May that the race will take place i started visiting elementary schools in Athens in order to and inspire the kids to participate in the race and through interactive games  sport activities  and speeches about solidarity, peace, conflict resolution and a school life without bullying with respect to each other, bridging national ,ethnic, social and religious divides. At the end of each visit we have a symbolic foto with the students raising our "white card.'
