Deree - The American College of Greece celebrates for the 2nd year April 6th. The Sports Management academic program and student society with the support of the Office of Athletics is using the International Sports Festival organized every year with ~700 student-athletes in various sports to pass the message that sport is the best medium for peace and development. This year ISF included 12 universities, over 500 athletes (313 men and 219 women), in 8 sports as well as 103 officials. The campaign was also taken to the classroom this year and we also organized a friendly women's futsal match between the Deree team and Hestia FC a team comprised of refugee women. Our goal is to educate and make the campus community aware of the White Card campaign and its meaning, of the April 6th date and what it means and also of the Peace and Sport organization its mission and efforts.
