On the occasion of the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, the Government of Mexico and the World Wrestling Council (CMLL) will screen an episode of the series Unmasking Lucha Libre at the Mexico City Wrestling Arena, on April 5 at 7:00 pm.
The episode “Diversity in Wrestling” highlights the role of women, people from the LGBTIQ community and people with disabilities in Mexican wrestling. It will be followed by an intervention of Mr. Frederic Vacheron Oriol, UNESCO’s representative in Mexico. In a brief message, he will explain the scope of the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace and the guidelines to participate in the #WhiteCard digital campaign.
At the end of the event, participants will raise a collective #WhiteCard.
